Let's Talk About It: Addiction & Substance Use

  • -

Substance abuse continues to be a problem for the military and veteran community. This deeply impacts the spouses and families as they try to navigate and support their veterans' journey in combatting addiction, substance abuse, and a military culture that perpetuates the use of (more specifically) alcohol. During this peer support event peer leader, Alunya Clark will facilitate a discussion around key points from our complementary EmpowerED session, and allow attendees to process and share their experiences with addiction and substance abuse within the military and veteran families.
This event (on Thursday, Nov 16th at 6 pm CT) is a follow-up complement event to this month's educational EmpowerEd seminar on Tuesday, Nov 14th at 7 pm CT on Substance Abuse. You don't have to attend both events but it is recommended. Please register HERE for the EmpowerEd event.
To be eligible for this group you must be the spouse or partner of an active duty service member or post-service veteran, a caregiver or divorced spouse from a veteran or active duty service member, or an active duty service member or veteran.
