There will be 3 open online sessions: Friday, April 5th, 12th, and 19th 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon which is (MST), followed by an in-person event on Friday, April 26 at 6:30 pm MST at MVPN at 10737 Gateway Blvd W; #350, El Paso, TX 79934.
We all know that humans are social creatures. We rely on our relationships, whether they are with our intimate partner, family, or friends for support. While our relationships can certainly fill our cups, they can also be challenging. And to maintain healthy relationships, we have to prioritize our wellness.
Join peer leaders Cassandra Salas & Andree Long for this 3-week mini-series focused on caring for ourselves and nurturing healthy relationships. We will share our stories, discuss challenges and support needs, and share strategies for increasing our self-care practices, enhancing intimacy in our intimate partner relationships, and strengthening communication in all relationships. We'll discuss relationships with our spouses, partners, children, extended families, and friends.
These sessions will give participants a sneak peek into our Veteran Spouse Resiliency Group(V-SRG) Program, leading participants through the curriculum's Sharing Our Stories, Love and Relationships, and Our Families sessions.
Please note that to maintain an intimate, collaborative discussion environment, we are keeping the registration number small. To ensure that all those wishing to participate can attend, please only register if you plan to attend the session. We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, impacting your schedule, so if you register and find that you are unable to attend, you will be able to cancel your registration at any time - this will open up your slot for others to join.
Note: To be eligible for this group you must be the spouse or committed partner of an active duty service member or post-service veteran living in the EL Paso, TX area.
