Mission
Facilitating a network of support for military and veteran spouses and families.
Purpose
The VSN facilitates a community of peer support for military and veteran spouses and families, providing opportunities to engage and connect to helpful resources and a community of support. Our work is guided by the understanding that veteran families rely on strong supportive communities while facing their unique challenges. This is your network, meant to incorporate your input, voice, and perspectives.
Services
EmpowerEd
The EmpowerEd initiative provides educational opportunities for our military and veteran-affiliated network by welcoming professional educators and speakers to present on various topics. Through these events, participants are empowered with the information and resources they need to feel prepared for their unique experiences. We believe that knowledge is power. We can better support ourselves and our loved ones by being informed on relevant topics related to the military lifestyle and culture.

Veteran Spouse Resiliency Group (V-SRG) Program
The Veteran Spouse Resiliency Group (V-SRG) program provides transitioning and veteran spouses/partners with peer-led, curriculum-driven, evidence-based support groups offered in virtual and in-person formats. Groups provide spouses with a safe space to connect, share their stories, challenges, and successes, and receive and support peers, leading to increased quality of life, more incredible social support, an increase in self-care practices, and a decrease in mental health symptoms.

VSN Social Club Program
The VSN Social Club program provides a variety of online and in-person peer groups to the larger military and veteran-connected community. Participants are provided a safe space to discuss topics that interest them and create opportunities to connect, socialize, and provide and receive support. Clubs are facilitated by peer leaders, covering topics generated by the interests and needs of the network. Groups vary in format and offer social time, casual and supportive check-ins, topic-driven discussions, workshops, guest speakers, resource presentations, and more!

Volunteer Leadership Opportunities
The Veteran Spouse Network (VSN) believes in the value and benefit of strong, supportive communities that offer peer-based guidance and understanding to help address the unique challenges of military and post-service family life. In line with that belief, all VSN programs are led by volunteer peer leaders who allow participants to receive support through shared experience and understanding. If you are connected to the military or veteran community and are interested in providing peer support opportunities, consider becoming a peer leader with the VSN today!
