The New Braunfels Veterans Day Parade & Ceremony is a local tradition hosted by the city to honor service members, featuring a morning program at the Main Plaza bandstand followed by a festive downtown procession.
20th Century Service Legacy: The 2026 event features retired Chief Warrant Officer 5 (CW5) Gene Forester—a New Braunfels native who served 44 years in the Texas National Guard and U.S. armed forces—as the official Grand Marshal and guest speaker.
The Route: Proceedings kick off with a bandstand ceremony at the New Braunfels Main Plaza, before the parade stages near the Elks Lodge and moves down South Seguin Avenue around the plaza.
Early Road Closures: Downtown traffic and street closures go into effect starting at 7:00 AM on the morning of the event.
