Aggie Shields is a student organization dedicated to serving the over 1,200 student veterans at Texas A&M.
Our primary focus is to help alleviate the financial burdens that Aggie student veterans face by providing textbooks free-of-charge through our Lending Library.
Textbook Check-out Procedures for Veterans
If you received an email from Aggie Shields with a list of your books:
- Go to the VRSC (Koldus 112) and find your stack of books with your name on it. They are located on the shelving units back next to Col. Smith’s office. A few may be located on top of the shelves or in the back study lounge.
- Find the sign out sheets, which will be located at the front desk, and sign out EACH textbook to verify you received all of your textbooks.
- Return these textbooks by December 12th and happy studies!
If you did not fill out an application or receive an email from us with a book list:
- Go to the VRSC (Koldus 112) and find either an Aggie Shields member or a VRSC worker who may be helping out. You MUST have your book list ready so that we can look them up and see their availability quickly.
- Once you receive your textbook(s), make sure you sign the sign-out sheet in the green binder, which will be located at the front desk. You must do this for EACH textbook you are borrowing from the Lending Library
- Return these textbooks by December 12th and happy studies!
