Veterans Educational and Transitional Services
The Veterans Educational and Transitional Services (VETS) Center at San Angelo State University was created to assist veterans, active duty service members, and their dependents in their pursuit of higher education. To that end, the university works in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and other off-campus resources including the Texas Veterans Commission.
In addition to providing information on how to apply for financial assistance and access to Veterans education benefits, we also provide a computer lab, a commons area and a quiet study environment for this group to utilize. ASU was designated as one of the nation’s “Military Friendly Schools” by G.I. Jobs magazine for 2014 (the fifth consecutive year).
New Scholarship for TA Recipients

Angelo State University (ASU) has begun offering a scholarship to active duty military who apply for their Tuition Assistance (TA) to cover the cost difference between what TA covers and their cost of tuition and fees. This will allow ASU to offer a zero cost to the students if they are using Tuition Assistance
