Central Plains Center is an independent local entity – not a state, federal, or county agency. Its work is directed by a local board of trustees consisting of one representative from each of the nine counties that we serve. The trustees are appointed by the County Commissioner’s Courts. Operating funds come from private payment for services; form county, state, and federal sources; and form donations from individuals, businesses, and foundations.
