Each CIS-GCT program site offers six primary program components. At the beginning of each school year, a campus plan is developed which includes services to meet the individual needs of the students and their families, and the priorities of each school principal. This campus plan determines the extent to which services are provided under each of the components.
The founding principle of Communities In Schools is to establish one-on-one relationships with individual students in order to support them beyond obstacles to success in school. Communities In Schools of Central Texas has offices on 66 campuses throughout Central Texas.
