About Us

The Concho Valley Regional Food Bank is:

  • A 501 (C)(3) non-profit corporation governed by a 17-member Board of Directors.
  • Member of Feeding America.
  • Licensed by the Texas Department of Health.

Who Is Eligible?

The Food Bank does not distribute food directly to individuals. Any 501 (C)-3 non-profit agency with a food program or planning to start a food program is eligible. Application packets may be obtained by calling 655-3231.

Services Offered

Perishable and non-perishable grocery products may be obtained for distribution to needy clients. Clients may not be charged for the product. Agencies pay a small shared maintenance fee to offset the costs for soliciation, pick-up, inspection, warehousing and distribution of the food product.

Advantages

The Food Bank is a good source of safe, inexpensive food, eliminating the need for food collection. Food received is inspected by a licensed facility. Consequently, agencies are able to focus on their primary missions while saving up to 80 percent on available food.

Special Features

The Food Bank can also provide nutrition information, state and national hunger statistics, and speakers to interested agencies.

Hours of Operation

8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Fees

A shared maintenance fee is assessed to agencies. No fee is assessed for bread or produce.
