Daniel's Den, Inc.

Daniel's Den is a faith-based, interdenominational Christian ministry providing emergency assistance and transitional housing in Ellis County.  Until the founding of this ministry, there were no emergency shelters or transitional housing facilities serving our area.  Our purpose is to restore and strengthen the lives of homeless people in Ellis County.  We minister to the physical, spiritual, and vocational needs of unfortunate men and women.  Most importantly, we will have the opportunity to introduce these individuals to Jesus Christ, and therefore share with them the Bread of Life.

We receive referrals from law enforcement agencies, fire departments, churches, hospitals, individuals and other social service agencies.

The Transitional Housing program provides housing for women (both single and with children) and legally married couples for an average of six months.  Our Samaritan House clients are provided with case management services, job search assistance, transportation, childcare and other needs as they arise.  They are required to attend a local church of their choice, find employment and adhere to a savings plan in order to obtain permanent housing.
