Programs
The East Texas Food Bank cares about children, families and seniors who do not have enough food to eat. Everyday, we work to feed people through a variety of programs and services.
BackPack Program
Each Friday during the school year, children at-risk of going hungry over the weekend receive backpacks filled with nutritious food, so they come back ready to learn on Monday mornings.
Kids Cafe/Snack Program
Helps alleviate child hunger by providing hungry children with nutritious meals and snacks at times when other resources are not available.
Summer Food Program
Daily meals are served at community parks and centers throughout East Texas, so children have healthy, nutritious meals to eat during the summer months.
Senior Box Program
This program provides boxes of nutritious food each month to low-income seniors, many of which live in isolated, rural communities.
Senior Servings™
Homebound seniors who receive meal assistance during the week, but may otherwise go hungry on the weekends, receive a nutritious bag of food for the weekend.
Mobile Pantry
Reaches out to feed hungry East Texans who live in isolated, rural communities without access to emergency food assistance. We distribute the food directly to those in need.
Fresh Produce Program
Distributes millions of pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables to low-income families.
