The Veterans Resource Center (VRC) is a veteran-staffed drop-in facility that provides veterans, family members and surviving spouses with the opportunity to make their lives better.

We partner with local organizations that help military veterans and family members, including Socks for Soldiers, VetStar, Texas Workforce Solutions, West Texas Legal Aid, Texas Panhandle Centers, Panhandle Honor Flight, the Amarillo VA, and many others.

We help each other by finding hope, healing and new purpose after enduring hardship through service to our nation or other obstacles they have faced.

We help through connections with peers, housing and employment, benefit eligibility, help with PTSD, anxiety, depression, and traumatic brain injury.

We identify and address the needs of Veterans, family members, and surviving spouses, and making connections to the resources they need such as:

  • Assistance for homeless and at-risk Veterans
  • Benefits Assistance*
  • Employment application assistance
  • Equine therapy
  • Individual, family and marital counseling
  • Life skills training
  • Networking with the local, area and statewide services for claims, compensation and education
  • Peer support groups
  • Referrals to local Veteran-friendly agencies
