Hale County Meals on Wheels delivers a nutritious noon-time meal to an average of 140 clients each weekday. Recipients must live in the city limits of Plainview or in the Seth Ward community.
Call the Hale County Meals on Wheels office at (806) 292-9020 for an application, or download the client application from our website. Office hours are 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday.
This program is supported by a grant from the Texas Veterans Commission Fund for Veterans’ Assistance. The Fund for Veterans’ Assistance provides grants to organizations servicing veterans and their families. For more information, visit TVC.Texas.gov.
- Funding for meals for Walmart Meals for Texas Heroes is provided to Hale County Meals on Wheels through a grant from the Walmart Foundation. Meals for eligible recipients will be provided with grant funds beginning in April 2014 and will continue until grant funds are exhausted.
- Another grant through the Texas Veteran’s Commission begins July 1, 2014 and will continue until June 30, 2015. This program is supported by a grant from the Texas Veterans Commission Fund for Veterans’ Assistance. If none of the above apply, clients pay $4.00 per meal for a noon time meal delivered Monday through Friday.
