Precinct2gether provides three buses for transporting Precinct 2 veterans to the VAMC, Monday through Friday. We have three separate routes within Precinct 2. One route picks up north of Interstate 10 with stops in Highlands, Crosby, Channelview and North Shore. Another route covers the east side of Precinct 2 with stops in Baytown, La Porte and Deer Park. The third route has stops in Pasadena, South Houston and Deer Park. All three routes pick up in the morning and at mid-day.
Eligible veterans must reside in Precinct 2 and have a medical appointment at the Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC) in Houston. Bus stops and pick up times as well as bus rider rules and regulations are available on line at this web site. Veterans needing transportation to the VAMC must call the Transportation office at least one day prior to their appointment date. Veterans requiring wheelchair assistance must mention this requirement during scheduling. Additional questions regarding veteran transportation should be referred to our Transportation staff or the Veteran Service Department.
