Park University

The mission of Park University, an entrepreneurial institution of learning, is to provide access to academic excellence which will prepare learners to think critically, communicate effectively and engage in lifelong learning while serving a global community.  The University began its relationship with the United States Military in the early 1940's and has been selected as one of Military Advanced Education's Top Military Friendly Colleges and Universities. Park University's Distance Learning programs can be found on campuses nationwide on military installations, community colleges, local shopping centers and the Internet. At campuses with a physical location, classes may be offered during lunch, evenings and weekends. If a student is interested in online courses, these may be taken in conjunction with face-to-face courese offered at physical campuses or through the Distance Learning campus.  Success for Veterans Program The Park University Success for Veterans Program is designed to provide a smooth and comprehensive transitioin to college for veteran students. The program consists of five online transition courses. The veteran faculty members teaching these coures are academically and culturally prepared to provide high quality services for veteran students. Credits earned in the Success for Veterans program can be transferred toward a Park University degree or other higher education institutions degree programs. The Benefits of the Park University Success for Veterans Program focus on: Administering exceptional customer service while catering to the unique needs of service members. Providing high quality access to various online & face-to-face degree programs. Utililizing online educational technology to accommodate service members at home & abroad. Convenient online access to first-rate academic advising & student support services. Offering a variety of lifelong learning experiences to service members in a global society. Credit for formal military service schools is awarded based on the recommendations of the American Council on Education's Guide to the Evaluation of the Educational Experiences in the Armed Services (ACE Guide). The credit will be awarded where it is applicable to a student's degree program and in keeping with the basic educational philosophy of Park. Credit for military service: 4 credit hours are awarded to students who have successfully completed basic military training. Enlisted personnel may receive additional credit based on their miltary occupational specialty/skill level. Commissioned personnel may be awarded up to a maximum of 20 credit hours.

SUCCESS FOR VETERANS PROGRAM
