St. Edward's University

The St. Edward’s University mission promises that we will help students to understand themselves, clarify their personal values and recognize their responsibility to the world community. Success, in whatever field you choose, begins in the company of peers and faculty who recognize your full potential. Tired notions of "traditional" and "non-traditional" students have given way to a new reality; a world where everyone gains by learning together. Veteran Affairs St. Edward’s University honors the service of military veterans and works with the Veterans Administration to help you pursue the education you deserve. Our Veterans Affairs Office will walk you through your benefits and can answer any questions about eligibility, payments or tutoring. Military Vets Eligible for Training at St. Edward's University: St. Edward's University offers Austin's only VA Certified technical training program For the first time, Austin-area veterans may use their military education benefits to pay for respected Microsoft Certification preparation programs and Project Management Professional Certification preparation courses at St. Edward's University without enrolling in a traditional degree program. In the mid-1940s, the Montgomery GI Bill was created to help returning World War II veterans transition back into civilian life. Over the years, the program has evolved to help cover the education costs of military personnel pursuing degrees and certificate programs, training and courses.Following three years of negotiations, the Department of Veterans Affairs granted the St. Edward's University Professional Education Center (PEC) the only certification of its kind in Austin. The VA approval means veterans may now receive their GI Bill benefits while attending Microsoft Certification preparation without committing to a four-year degree plan. As a Microsoft Certified Technical Education Center, the PEC offers classes toward the Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE), the most recognized and highly sought-after instructional technology certification available in the industry.
