Stay the Course Veteran Services

Stay The Course Veteran Services was founded by a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and spouse of a combat veteran with the goal of creating a stand-alone organization focused strictly on veterans, first responders, and families, in a cost-effective way to focus more dollars on clients.

The agency treats the whole family and provides individualized combinations of individual, couples and family therapy to promote healing and recovery from a multitude of issues. The agency uses evidence-based treatment methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Other goals of STC are to overcome the barriers to counseling services that many veterans and families experience, link clients to other community resources, and provide education.

Through grant funding, STC provides the first six counseling sessions free to veterans, first responders, and their families. If additional sessions are needed, STC applies a sliding-scale fee that ranges from $10 to $70 per session, depending on family income and circumstances.

STC has two service locations:  Fort Worth near downtown, and in North Dallas at 22KILL. Counseling services are provided at both locations. They serve veterans from across North Texas, regardless of county of residence.

Service hours are from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm Mondays and Wednesdays, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on Fridays, and from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 pm on Saturdays.

Interested clients should call 682-990-6242 to speak to the intake coordinator who would then meet with the client in order to place the client with an appropriate counselor.

Clients will be asked for their DD 214, driver's license or other government-issued ID, and an application form.
