Located in one of the fastest-growing cities in the nation, Texas State University's Round Rock Higher Education Center (RRHEC) has been offering higher education in Williamson County since 1996. What started as graduate programs in education and business administration taught at Westwood High School, has grown to eight bachelor's degrees and 11 master's degrees offered in a wide range of majors for junior- and senior-level undergraduates and graduate students.?

In 2010 the RRHEC took another huge step in providing higher education in Williamson County with the opening of a state-of-the-art, 77,740-square-foot Nursing Building. Texas State's School of Nursing admitted the first class of junior-level nursing majors in the fall 2010 semester.

The RRHEC believes in supporting our troops! On Thursday evenings, a Veterans Peer Support Group meets in the Avery Building from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
