Uniforms for the Final Salute

Q:  What is Uniforms for the Final Salute?

A:  Uniforms for the Final Salute is designed to honor Unaccompanied Veterans when they pass away.  Unaccompanied Veterans will receive a dress uniform from their branch of service to ensure they are buried with honor and respect for serving our country. 

 

Q:  Who is an Unaccompanied Veteran?

A:  An Unaccompanied Veteran is a term to describe veterans who are considered indigent, homeless, or those without family.   

 

Q:  Who began this partnership?

A:  Uniforms for the Final Salute is a partnership between Goodwill Industries of South Texas,  Peerless Cleaners, Nueces County Veterans Services, Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery and Treviño Funeral Home to honor Unaccompanied Veterans by providing them with dress military uniforms when they  pass away. 

 

Q:  How can the public help?

A:  The public can help support Uniforms for the Final Salute by donating Dress Military Uniforms to any Goodwill or Peerless Cleaners location.
