The Veteran Housing & Utility Assistance program provides the following financial assistance for eligible Veterans and surviving spouses:
- rent,
- mortgage,
- water, and
- energy utility costs.
Eligible beneficiaries must:
- Be a Veteran with any discharge status other than dishonorable, or
- A surviving non-remarried spouse of a deceased Veteran whose spouse had any discharge status other than dishonorable
AND
- Have a gross household income below 250% of the Federal Income Poverty Guideline limits.
