Recovery Resource Council-Enduring Families

Enduring Families

In 2013, Recovery Resource Council launched Enduring Families, a program which provides outpatient counseling and support services for returning military veterans and their family members. This program targets the veteran family’s unique needs ranging from coping with symptoms of PTSD, depression, anxiety and addiction to teaching effective decision-making, parenting and communication skills. Services in this program are provided at no cost to the family or the veteran.

Our Services

The highly-skilled clinicians at the Cohen Clinic at Metrocare provide therapy for individuals, groups, couples, children and families for a variety of behavioral health challenges, including:

  • Depression

  • Stress and anxiety

  • Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)

  • Substance misuse

  • Sleep problems

  • Hyper-vigilance (being on high alert)

  • Anger

  • Grief and loss

  • Transitional challenges

STEPS With Horses is an equine-assisted mental health services organization exclusively focused on providing mental health services. We have a strong team of counselors and equine specialists who strives to create a safe and therapeutic environment for you to grow and heal.

Veteran Upbound University of Texas Arlington

UT Arlington Veterans Upward Bound is a free program for qualified veterans, designed to motivate and assist veterans in the development of academic and other requisite skills necessary for acceptance and success in a program of postsecondary education. The program provides assessment and enhancement of basic skills through counseling, mentoring, tutoring and academic instruction in the core subject areas of mathematics through pre-calculus, laboratory science, foreign language, composition and literature.
